Design Projects

While in the MakerSpace, the 6th-8th grades Library and STEM classes have the opportunity to create different design projects.  Students are allowed voice and choice as to the type of project they choose and the digital media platforms they use to create them.  These projects give students a chance to collaborate with other students and work through the design process.  Students document their work and reflect over the work process.  When finished, students showcase their work and present it to their peers so they can implement good communication skills.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work with many community partners for these projects.  Throughout the course of the nine week class, our partners give their time, expertise, and materials to help students.  This gives students the ability to earn 21st Century skills in hands-on, real world experiences.
